NE 6th Street
Bellevue, Washington
This home had humble beginnings as a 1970s tri-level. It was set on a beautiful but overgrown half acre lot in east Bellevue. It is another example of a house that had "good bones" and we could have gotten away with cosmetic updates. However, the site, neighborhood, and location (close to Microsoft Headquarters) led us to believe that this site would be better suited with a larger family home that could serve a big multi generational family as is common in the area. A master suite complete with workout room and loft area was added on top of the first floor living space and an addition on the back of the house extended the kitchen and added a family room. The separation of the master suite from the other four bedrooms and two baths over the garage allowed for plenty of privacy for the homeowners while still keeping them in fairly close proximity to the other bedrooms, a half flight down.
